Michelle + David have been modeling for me since I bought my first professional camera equipment. I’d seen many photographers doing Halloween styled shoots and I had to get in on the fun. This “dia de los muertos” inspired shoot came together quickly.
Dress: Amazon
Makeup: Gaby Castelan
Florals: Sara Hulstein (Midwest Flower Design)
Location: Pumpkinland, Orange City, Iowa
Photographer: The Coe Collective
Gaby’s electric partial skeleton makeup really leveled up this otherwise simple look. Sara’s florals made it feel like a romantic twist on a traditionally spooky and spirited season. The concept was inspired by Michelle’s Mexican heritage and our love for creativity. I wanted to share a glimpse into a love story that could have been— two ancestors coming back to cherish their love, reliving their glory days… A bit of nostalgia mingling with a romantic longing.
