As a photographer in the wedding industry, the relationships I have with fellow wedding vendors are invaluable. Together, we create and dream in order to set up our future clients for beautiful and meaningful weddings. This is one reason I participate and plan styled shoots.
For this celestial-inspired styled shoot, I reached out to Katie at Freebird Bridal for the perfect dress. She did me one better and found THREE perfect dresses. While the strapless dress with sheer, beaded cape overlaying the dress was the main event, we pulled two additional dresses featuring frosty, starry designs in lace. Paired with a bejeweled crown and topped off with champagne, this was an incredible afternoon of styling and portraiture.
One thing that is important to remember about styled shoots is just that: they are styled. This means all members of the vendor team are collaborating. Sometimes we want to show off styles, like the wedding dresses. Sometimes we are simply itching to create. Other times, we want to work to show potential couples how to dream a little wider in their wedding planning. There are always elements in a styled shoot that resemble a wedding day. But, each wedding day, your wedding day, will always be unique.
Special thank you to the vendor team for our celestial-inspired styled shoot:
