Life is meant to be lived fully and full of love. It is meant to be filled with big dreams and big messes, big chaos and big magic.
The more I photograph, the more I realize that the “nice” picture of everyone sitting/standing perfectly posed and camera-ready smiles is not what makes me tick. I think those pictures have a place. And I think every session should walk away with ONE classic portrait, I don’t believe your whole session should look this way. Because that’s not how your life looks. We are all guilty of curating our “best lives” for social media, and even for the walls in our homes. But what if life isn’t about either/or…what if it’s a both/and?
I’ve been dreaming of ways to make your photo sessions with me feel less “curated” and more like you. Truly, the options are endless. Here are some ideas for y’all. (And if you see one that feels “so you,” email me. If you’re the first to claim, you get $100 off your session!)
couples:
Lake Life Wine Tasting Pizza + Beer “picnic” Baking/Cooking in the Kitchen Morning Coffee + PJs
families
Park Play Date Camping/Bonfire Backyard/Neighborhood BBQ Touring/Working on the Farm Newborn Nursery + Snuggles Walk around the block (or the trails)
I may add to my list from time-to-time. And when a lifestyle session has been claimed, I’ll add a link to the blog post to showcase these adventures.
Your imagination should not stop short when you see my list. Use this as a sounding board to create your own adventure. Refuse to box yourself into traditional. Choose a photo session that will help you live life fully—the beautiful mess it is.
The place where ordinary and everyday meets intentional living? That’s where the magic happens. And you, my dear friend, you deserve magic.

I'm a Minnesota wedding photographer. I am best known for my candid photos that showcase the truest spirits of you and the people you love. As a documentary wedding photographer, I give you space for uninterrupted moments to experience your event as it happens. Always present, but not intrusive. I am always on the move, working my way into the middle of the action as often as I stand back and observe. This approach results in a comprehensive gallery of images that honestly and wholeheartedly tell the story of your wedding day-- the story of how you love, who was there, and why it matters.
