If you want cocktail hour to be your wedding’s whole theme, then a brewery is the place to be. The Twin Cities have amazing brewery wedding venues. They’re great for parties that are very food- and drink-forward. As a wedding photographer, I love brewery celebrations! Marriers get the chance to mingle and chat with their friends and family. Transitions between events are easy, and you can get guests into dance party mode while food and drinks stay flowing.
Getting married at a brewery is also a cool way to support local businesses. Many allow you to bring in food trucks or less traditional catering options that allow you to customize your menu. These are some of my favorite brewery wedding venues in Minnesota and St. Paul.
5 Fun Brewery Wedding Venues
1. Urban Growler
Urban Growler is one of the most flexible brewery wedding venues in St. Paul. They have multiple event spaces, including a sunny barrel room that makes a beautiful ceremony space. You’ll love the wood beams, exposed brick, and spacious reception area.
Bonus: Urban Growler is Minnesota’s first woman-founded, queer-owned brewery in Minnesota!
Starting Cost: $2,800 for Saturday evenings
Capacity: 125 guests
2. Bauhaus Brew Labs
Bauhaus Brew Labs is a colorful brewery in Minneapolis. Vibrant retro murals cover the walls and bring so much life to the space. The fun, funky decor sets a playful tone for your wedding day.
Unlike some brewery wedding venues, Bauhaus has a great outdoor space. Some people have outdoor ceremonies and indoor receptions. Either way you’ll be covered in case of rain.
Starting Cost: $2,000
Capacity: 100+ guests
3. Earl Giles
Earl Giles is actually a distillery, not a brewery. They craft cool cocktails featuring their own syrups and bitters. If you’re looking for the spaciousness of a brewery with a more modern aesthetic, Earl Giles is worth a look.
The photos featured here are from a post-elopement dinner reservation. The marriers enjoyed tots with their best friends, and the staff treated them to shots (including zero proof shots for the non-drinkers). So sweet!
Starting Cost: $2,000
Capacity: 140 guests in the Tasting Room; 70 guests in the Mezzanine
4. Brother Justus Whiskey Company
Brother Justus Whiskey Company is another distillery in Minneapolis. It’s an incredible space with gorgeous light, and it’s accessible. People love cocktail hour on the sunny terrace.
If you get married at Brother Justus, they prefer that you work with caterers on their approved vendors list. Honestly, I’d recommend pretty much all of them anyway.
Starting Cost: $15,000 for Friday and Saturday; $7,500 for Thursday and Sunday
Capacity: 200 guests
5. Indeed Brewing
In some ways, Indeed Brewing is one of the most beautiful brewery wedding venues in Minneapolis. Tall windows let in lots of sunlight to give your ceremony an airy feeling. I love the cozy lights strung along the ceiling beams for receptions.
Indeed Brewing is most comfortable for smaller weddings, especially those with around 70 guests.
Starting Cost: $2,000
Capacity: 100 guests
More Twin City Breweries You Might Love
Minneapolis and St. Paul have so many great brewery wedding venues that I have to give a few more honorable mentions.
Pyres Brewing: This beautifully remodeled brewery has multiple modern event spaces for weddings ranging anywhere from 30 to 124 guests.
Utepils Brewing: If you’re looking for brewery wedding venues that provide an indoor/outdoor experience, check out Utepils in Minneapolis. They have a cute yard.
Bang! Brewing: This could be a very cute micro wedding spot for 20-ish people in the summer or fall. You can feast on a picnic spread or woodfired pizzas with your beers. It’s great for socializing and impromptu dancing. Although Bang! Brewing doesn’t specifically say they host weddings, they invite guests to “hang out in the garden for a low/no cost event space. I’m sure they’d be open to an event!
Preserving Your Wedding with Heartfelt Photos
As a photographer, I often find brewery weddings are near and dear to my heart. They’re celebrations that center intentionality and belonging. I’d love to document your wedding with authentic, artistic images.
I'm a Minnesota wedding photographer. I am best known for my candid photos that showcase the truest spirits of you and the people you love. As a documentary wedding photographer, I give you space for uninterrupted moments to experience your event as it happens. Always present, but not intrusive. I am always on the move, working my way into the middle of the action as often as I stand back and observe. This approach results in a comprehensive gallery of images that honestly and wholeheartedly tell the story of your wedding day-- the story of how you love, who was there, and why it matters.
