The Artist's Statement
As a wedding photographer and an artist at heart, my goal is to redefine what wedding photography could look like. I weave together the profoundly human moments with the meticulously curated details. I make the kind of photos that feel lived in right now as well as twenty years from now. I’ll be right there with you, in the middle of it all, giving you a first-hand account of what it was like for you to marry the love of your life.
I am endlessly inspired by the ways people interact with each other and the world around them. From the very beginning of my career, my goal has been to create a place of belonging and celebration--for the people I photograph to feel seen. As I dig through my photo archives, I am humbled and grateful to find evidence of people letting their guards down around me.
Art, food, and local culture fuels my creative energy. When I'm feeling blocked or stuck, I take a step away from the camera. I seek out in-person opportunities to interact with various art genres. I dine at up-and-coming or award-winning restaurants. I attend local events and meet-ups. All of these experiences help me think about my craft and my skills in new ways. It's how I've been able to keep growing and creating over the last 10 years.
I am passionate and curious about our shared humanity. I cannot wait to experience them with you.
