As a wedding photographer, I’m honored to work with the coolest couples at some of the best St. Paul wedding venues! I know the planning process can be a bit draining at some points, so I’ve put together a list of my favorite venues to hopefully lighten the load. I love working with couples who are open to planning a thoughtful celebration with their favorite people, so I chose venues that I know will foster a romantic and intimate atmosphere!
Summit Manor is an architectural feat in St. Paul, perfect for couples who want to tie the knot at a magically historic estate! The manor is designed in a way that lends plenty of unique nooks for photos, and its moody, low-light indoor spaces are some of my favorites to get creative in. For outdoor lovers, you’ll be especially fond of the ceremony lawn! And from personal experience, the staff is incredibly accommodating. Summit Manor is also a great choice for smaller guest counts, making it feel cozy and special.
Urban Growler is a vibrant and funky spot, ideal for couples wanting a laidback celebration while still keeping things stylish. Known for its craft beers, this brewery has an event room in the back that, while it can get a bit crowded with larger guest counts, still has plenty of space for both sitting and standing! The simple yet spacious area for getting ready beforehand adds convenience, eliminating the need to travel to and fro. Bonus points for it being Minnesota’s first women-owned microbrewery!
This St. Paul wedding venue combines two of my favorite things: sustainability and style. The light here is absolutely magical, especially during sunset when it streams through the windows, casting the dreamest golden light throughout the space! Paikka has both indoor and outdoor areas, allowing you and your guests to flow easily between spaces. It’s perfect for those who appreciate eco-friendly practices without compromising on aesthetics.
There are four distinct event spaces at Paikka: the Pink Room, the Gold Room, the Courtyard, and the Green Room. The Pink Room, with its bar and cocktail lounge, accommodates up to 75 people. The Gold Room, the largest space, features natural light and lots of greenery, holding up to 275 standing guests. The Courtyard is an outdoor space with café lights and minimalistic landscaping. Lastly, The Green Room, a private suite with a kitchenette and lounge, is perfect for small gatherings!
The St. Paul College Club has been expanded and restored since its inception way back in 1848. Now, it serves as one of the best wedding venues in St. Paul! It has generous outdoor space for ceremonies and mingling, complemented by indoor areas for dining, cocktail hour, and dancing. The combination of historic elements and chic wedding aesthetics makes it an excellent choice for couples wanting a classic and sophisticated wedding This venue has virtually anything you could ask for – in-house catering, outdoor gardens, getting-ready suites, central location… I’m telling you, you’ve got to check it out!
How freaking cool would it be to get married surrounded by wildlife?? If you’re an animal lover, then I highly recommend considering Como Zoo for your wedding venue! Not only would it be an extra memorable experience for your guests, but there are countless spaces to host your ceremony and reception depending on the aesthetics and accommodations you’re looking for! From gardens to pods to auditoriums, you’d be surprised at the variety of spaces Como Zoo has to offer.
Earl & Wilson is another fantastic venue in St. Paul, located in the historic Lowertown area of the city. If you’re familiar with this neighborhood, you know that it oozes historic charm, and this venue blends in perfectly! The Victorian elegance combined with urban luxury created an unmatched ambiance for your wedding day. The venue offers 3 different rooms/spaces for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.
At the end of the day, the most important thing about choosing a wedding venue is finding a space where you and your partner can easily see yourselves celebrating. So I encourage you to take your time when researching these venues and feel free to reach out to them directly if you have any specific questions!

I'm a Minnesota wedding photographer. I am best known for my candid photos that showcase the truest spirits of you and the people you love. As a documentary wedding photographer, I give you space for uninterrupted moments to experience your event as it happens. Always present, but not intrusive. I am always on the move, working my way into the middle of the action as often as I stand back and observe. This approach results in a comprehensive gallery of images that honestly and wholeheartedly tell the story of your wedding day-- the story of how you love, who was there, and why it matters.
